Briefing Note Number 119 - The abolition of Adult Dependency Increases for pensioners

The Pensions Policy Institute (PPI) is today publishing Briefing Note Number 119 - The abolition of Adult Dependency Increases for pensioners.

This Briefing Note shows that the abolition of Adult Dependency Increases (ADIs) could see nearly 9,000 pensioner couples lose up to £70 per week, marking a significant loss for people who are already on a low retirement income. It examines the reasons for the abolition of ADIs, the potential financial impact upon those people whose claims ceased on April 6 2020 and the options available to them to maintain their standard of living if they lose out financially.
