PPI Research Webinar Brings Together More Than 50 Delegates to Reflect on 2026 Research and Future Priorities
More than 50 delegates from across the pensions industry joined the Pensions Policy Institute (PPI) for a special webinar reflecting on the research, policy developments and emerging priorities shaping pensions and later life.
Chaired by PPI Deputy Director, Dr Suzy Morrissey FCA, the webinar featured presentations from the PPI research team, showcasing some of the Institute's major research published during 2026, including work on DB surplus release, pension megafunds, guided retirement solutions, and the experiences and outcomes of low earners.
Celebrating 25 years of independent research, the webinar also highlighted the PPI's continuing commitment to delivering rigorous, impartial and evidence-based analysis that informs pensions policymaking and improves retirement outcomes.
Alongside reflecting on research published this year, attendees were given an overview of the PPI's forward-looking research agenda, exploring emerging policy priorities, forthcoming projects and opportunities for organisations to collaborate with and support future research.
A key part of the discussion focused on engaging with attendees to identify the issues and challenges where further evidence and analysis could make the greatest impact. The webinar provided an opportunity to exchange ideas, strengthen collaboration across the sector and continue the evidence-led conversations that underpin better policymaking and improved retirement outcomes.
