As the Pension Schemes Bill progresses through Parliament, proposing the consolidation of multi-employer Defined Contribution (DC) schemes into £25bn megafunds by 2030, the UK pension system may experience significant change.
This PPI event will present key research findings, drawing on both international evidence and results from stakeholder interviews to explore other countries' routes to megafunds and to assess the risks and opportunities of megafund reforms. It will also provide a platform for informed discussion and stakeholder engagement, bringing together policymakers, industry participants, and other interested parties to reflect on the implications for the UK and explore how these reforms could shape the future of the pensions landscape.
