Technical Report: Underpensioned - Analysis of Pensions Wealth data
Published on Wednesday 14 January 2026, The Pensions Policy Institute (PPI) launched a technical Report in the Underpensioned series. This paper expands the results of the Underpensioned Index 2024 by examining the pension wealth people hold before retirement, rather than income in retirement. Using the latest Wealth and Assets Survey data, it analyses pension wealth among working-age groups most at risk of being under-pensioned, incorporating newly released data from Round 8 of the survey.
